The argument

A digital state is not one portal, one identity service or one successful platform.

The article looks at Nigeria’s emerging digital-state architecture as a connected system: people, the public-facing front door, shared digital basics, the systems behind the scenes and the underlying backbone.

Inclusion, trust and assurance cut across every layer. The central question is not whether individual projects exist, but whether they can become coherent institutional capability that citizens can depend on.

The article is an independent analysis by Onosoji O. Ononuga and does not present itself as an official statement by any government institution.
